Where Did You Go

February 28, 2019 by Sondra Robinson in dogs, inspiration, resilience, reframing

Have you ever been in a situation where it seems just your being present at that specific place and time seems to hook the insecurities, self-doubts, fears and anger of a specific group of people? In their group think minds they then project their dysfunction onto you because you represent what they could be if they had made different choices.  Gossip abounds and logic flies out the window. This creates the perfect vetting opportunity. You see the situation for what it is and realize you have a range of responses from reacting and get mired in the quicksand to accepting, releasing and moving on. What is your choice?

Where did you go?
I loved you so
Sweet, happy soul of mine.
You once were free
I could be me
Then you faded some over time.

Lies, meanness, insecurities -
Perched on the lips and flew free
From others little minds …..

Then your dominion
Reduced them, and their opinions,
To minions
In my mind

You go gurl,
Let yourself unfurl,
It IS your time to shine!
