Keep Your Word

June 18, 2019 by Sondra Robinson in integrity, life lessons

There was a time in my life when I seemed to be surrounded by people who said one thing and did another. For the most part I could not find people I could count on. This was upsetting and disappointing to me. I thought I made plans consciously and did not say yes unless I was sure I was actually going to do what I was committing to do.  So I started thinking about my life and looking for times I had not done what I had said I was going to. Then it hit me. BAM!! I was not keeping my word to myself. I broke promises I made to myself daily, maybe even hourly. This was eye opening to me. It changed my life and put me on a path of self-discipline, self-trust and self-valuing that I continue on today. There is power in knowing you can depend on you. My hope for you is that you realize this and start becoming someone you can depend on.
